Hypnobirthing Courses in West Yorkshire

Antenatal courses in Huddersfield, Holmfirth & Mirfield and surrounding areas

Empowered, calm and connected…

Pregnancy is a time of transformation, and I’m here to support you every step of the way — helping you feel empowered, calm, and connected as you prepare for the exciting arrival of your baby.

My approach to hypnobirthing is about more than just self-hypnosis. It’s about nurturing you and your birth partner with the knowledge and confidence to embrace your pregnancy and birth with peace and clarity.

How I can support you:

I offer both private and group hypnobirthing courses for expectant parents and birth partners, in person or online (for those further afield).

If you’d like that antenatal support to continue through labour and birth, I’m currently studying as a Holistic Birth Doula and can support you as an advocate. My specialism is homebirth but I support all informed choices and places of birth within Yorkshire.

I also offer pregnancy relaxation sessions, day retreats, and a unique postnatal preparation session called ‘A Healing Fourth Trimester’. This session is available in your third trimester and beyond, to help you plan for a supportive postpartum, or after your baby arrives, to guide you through the challenges and joys of the fourth trimester.

If you’d prefer accessing a pre-recorded course you can also find my A Healing First Trimester course on Insight Timer.

Feel supported, informed & ready for anything…

Research shows that using hypnosis during labour can help you feel more in control and calm, making your experience smoother and more positive.

But hypnobirthing is so much more than that. It’s about discovering your options, understanding your body, and feeling confident in the choices you make.

It’s about embracing the power of your body’s natural hormones to create a birth experience that feels right for you and your baby.

It’s about navigating maternity services, should you choose to engage with them, while trusting your intuition.

Most importantly, it’s about increasing the chances of having a birth experience that feels empowering, positive, and in alignment with your needs and wishes.

Course Options & Pricing:

All courses include a special welcome goody bag with a hypnobirthing manual, Weleda pregnancy products, and a few treats to help you feel pampered along the way!

If you’re looking for a more accessible and self-led option, I also offer workshops and pre-recorded sessions, giving you the flexibility to learn at your own pace.

Frequently Asked Questions about Hypnobirthing Courses

If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, please do get in touch – I look forward to hearing from you.

Yes, absolutely! Hypnobirthing is for every kind of birth. While I do specialise in homebirth prep, many of the families I support choose different paths – from planned caesareans to spontaneous hospital births and everything in between. Hypnobirthing isn’t about one ‘right’ way to birth – it’s about feeling calm, informed, and empowered your way. Together, we focus on building your confidence, learning how to advocate for your preferences, and preparing for a birth that feels good to you, wherever and however it unfolds.

I get this a lot – and no, it’s honestly not! Hypnobirthing is rooted in science, and it’s all about understanding how your body and brain work together in labour. There’s no pendulum swinging or barking like a dog while everyone watches and laughs – I promise! What we do get stuck into is the power of breathing techniques, mindset tools, understanding your hormones, and how to stay relaxed and in control. It’s surprisingly practical and down-to-earth, and most people are amazed by how much it helps, even the most sceptical of birth partners (like mine!).

You’re not alone – it’s really normal, and common, to feel that way. So many of the parents I work with start their journey with a mix of nerves, fear, or past experiences that didn’t feel great. Hearing stories from people who didn’t have a great experience, can have a negative impact on you too. (Which is why I recommend avoiding too many of those!) Hypnobirthing gives you the tools to unpack some of that fear, reframe it gently, and build a sense of trust in yourself and your body. You don’t have to ‘feel zen’ all the time – we just work on creating a toolkit that helps you feel safe, prepared, and supported.

Whenever feels right for you! Some people start as early as 16–20 weeks, others later in the third trimester. The earlier you start, the more time you have to practice the tools – but it’s never too late. I’ve had clients do just a few sessions at 38 weeks and still feel calm and confident walking into their births. If you’re not sure when’s right for you, or what you need, I’m always happy to have a chat over the telephone with you, and your birth partner too if that’s helpful. My courses and sessions are tailored to what you need, which is why I love working with individual couples, and if you feel you need more prep or a pep talk before an appointment or in the run up to the birth, we can do that too.
